*Program overview* The Mini-MBA will introduce the material that MBA students encounter in their first year of business school. Instruction is led by professors from Harvard Business School in the traditional HBS case method. Students are therefore able to master the core concepts of business while also engaging with complex business problems and real-world scenarios under the guidance of the world’s top business thinkers.

Global Case Competition at Harvard Gala

Are you a finance or business student at Harvard or MIT? We'd love to meet you in person! We are organising a gala to network, share thoughts, learn, and celebrate!
We are looking forward to welcome you at the renowned Isabella Gardner Museum in the heart of Boston! The individual ticket grants access to the gala (with food & drinks included), a tour, and all upcoming physical events (to be announced).
The detailed agenda will be released closer to the event date, but we encourage you to be around Boston on Friday morning (29th or April) and available until Saturday late at night (30th of April). Due to the venue's regulation, attendance is limited to 200 guests. Tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis. Only registered participants at the Global Case Competition at Harvard are allowed at the venue.

Join Daniel Acheampong for an exciting session combining finance and social impact! Daniel is a co-founder and General Partner at Visible Hands, a venture capital firm with a virtual-first accelerator on a mission to highlight and invest in the limitless potential of overlooked founders. At the earliest stages of company-building, it provides meaningful funding, personalized support, and social capital to help its founders build exceptional technology startups. He received a dual Masters in Business Administration from the Wharton School and Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School. Prior to graduate school, Daniel was an associate at Summit Partners, a premier investment firm, where he managed the firm’s due diligence process to raise investment funds. Previously, he was a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he supported senior management in supervising the New England Private Wealth Management business.

Uysal is the Team Lead for the focus area Wealth & FinTech. Allianz X invests in digital frontrunners in ecosystems relevant to insurance and asset management.
Sümer began his career in Management Consulting and joined the Allianz Group in 2013 as Senior Analyst in the CEO Office at Allianz Turkey. Sümer led various strategic projects and was responsible for the formation of the Innovation Department.
Sümer received a Master of Science in International Management (CEMS) from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. During his studies, he spent time in Singapore and Istanbul.

Alexandre is CFO at DC Company, a holding company for Media assets for which he oversees the build-up strategy as well as the financial management of portfolio companies.
He is a former Vice President at J.P. Morgan in Paris where he spent 3 years advising large Corporate clients and Private Equity firms on complex M&A as well as debt and equity transactions. He had previously spent 3 years in J.P. Morgan’s EMEA TMT team mostly covering Telecoms and was based out of London.
He graduated with a Masters in Finance from Sciences Po Paris, France.

Given the global pandemic and the success of last year’s online competition, we have decided to host the competition in a hybrid format. All teams will compete from home and pitch their solutions virtually.
To extend the Harvard experience, we are planning to host an optional in-person event in Cambridge late next Spring. The in-person event registration will be open to all participating teams (and past participants we didn’t get to meet yet!) through a separate ticket. More information to come.

Dr. Torben Antretter is the co-founder and chief financial officer at RightNow, a claims purchasing company based in Germany. With RightNow, Torben has raised more than $30M in VC and working capital funding.
Prior to founding of RightNow, he worked in financial consulting at Deloitte and venture capital research. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, where he teaches classes on Entrepreneurial Finance. Most recently, he has been featured in several original HBS case studies that are being analyzed within present MBA cohorts. In 2020, Torben has been named 30 under 30 by Forbes Magazine.

Join Richard Oliver, PhD and Farzad Jalali for a discussion on their work in sales and trading at HSBC.
Richard has been trading, managing and developing trading groups for over 20 years. He completed his PhD in Astrophysics in 1997 and left academia to initiate his professional career in FX swap and spot trading at Natwest Markets. In 2001, he moved to Morgan Stanley where he became co-head of FXEM EMEA. In 2010, he was instrumental in reopening the Morgan Stanley Istanbul office. He made the transition to the buy-side in 2013, joining Brevan Howard where he was partner and senior portfolio manager until 2016. He has most recently been at Nomura before joining HSBC in April 2019.
Farzad has been trading with FX related products for over a decade. He completed his studies at Maastricht University whilst working as Junior Finance Lecturer with focus on financial markets. Prior to joining HSBC, he worked for UBS and Commerzbank. Farzad covers a global client base including large institutional investors such as leading asset managers, banks, pensions and insurance companies.
